Paying It Forward With The Kids

As mentioned in the previous post, a bunch of us mamas (+ papas) got together to celebrate my birthday. Always down for a good sweat, and a good cause, we boxed it out at All City Athletics + in lieu of gifts we collected money, 100% of it going towards a local inner city school.

My youngest + I were excited to drop off the donation to the kindergartners, but were even more excited to visit the class and hang with the kids. They invited us to join in on their music + dance class, and we can't pass up a good dance session, so we went for it!

We raised just a little over $1100 + left it up to the kindergartners + the teaching team on the best way to use it

And just yesterday I was able to visit the kids again, but this time took my 2 youngest kids along. We went to the school's Spring musical performance, and then got to hang with the kindergarten class and catch up on what they've been up to + what their plans are for the donation.

The kindergarten class will be taking a field trip to Centennial Beach Boundary Bay Regional Park, and will each have their own little care package with fun things like a beach towel, beach toys, and will be ordering lunch to enjoy by the water. Sounds like a perfect date to me!

Till the next adventure. Who's coming?
